CERADD ONCE AGAIN STANDS WITH AGENTS OF CHANGE

All news

True to its vision of sustainable development, its commitment to social action, and its desire to contribute to the emergence of better governance policies, the Center for Studies and Research in Social Action and Sustainable Development (CERADD) took part in the International Economic Days of Municipalities (JEICOM) from June 2 to 4, 2025, at the Yaoundé Convention Center.

This major event, which brought together representatives from national and international institutions, as well as government agencies and civil society organizations, aimed to support local entrepreneurship, openness to the world, exchanges, and cooperation to advance the cause of our regions. Beyond their economic dimension, these conferences highlighted the strategic role of municipalities in fostering local development. It was repeatedly emphasized that for effective and inclusive development, the impetus must undeniably come from the grassroots level—represented here by these municipalities.

However, it may be important to emphasize that the effectiveness of this dynamic approach, as conceived during the JEICOM, also depends on strengthening local capacities, fostering citizen participation, and adapting public policies to the actual needs of the population. This vision aligns directly with CERADD’s ambitions, which place research, innovation, and social action at the heart of its contribution to sustainable development.

In light of this, CERADD once again reaffirms its commitment to contributing unconditionally to the development of robust and coordinated local responses, grounded in research, community mobilization, training, and the development of innovative solutions tailored to on-the-ground realities.
